MEGAN REYNOLDS
OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a first- year outside hitter
from Albuquerque, N.M., has been named SCAC Volleyball Offensive
Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Monday, October 15
through Sunday, October 21.
Reynolds led the Tigers to a 4-0 record at the
SCAC Divisional last weekend, including a 3-0 sweep of
nationally-ranked Southwestern University.
Reynolds posted a team-best .333 hitting percentage for the weekend, totaling 29 kills (2.90/set) and just seven errors in her 66 attempts. She nabbed double-digit kills against Southwestern and Austin College, hitting better than .300 in both matches.
Against #22 Southwestern, Reynolds led Trinity
with 13 kills and a .423 hitting percentage to lead Trinity to the
win. In the tournament finale against Austin, she hit .310 with 11
kills to secure an undefeated weekend for the Tigers.
For the season, Reynolds has tallied 59 kills
(1.40/set) and is hitting .185 (59-25-184) in 22 matches
played.
