BRYCE FRANK OF AUSTIN COLLEGE, a junior forward from Granbury, Texas, has been selected as the SCAC Player-of-the-Week for games played from January 22nd through January 29, 2018. This is her fourth POTW honor this season.
Frank had a monster weekend for Austin College as the 'Roos went 2-0, including a win over #16 Trinity.
Frank averaged 19.5 points, 19.5 rebounds, 3.5 steals, 2.5 assists, and 1.5 blocks in the two victories, with 19 points and a career-high 21 boards in a win over Schreiner and 20 points and 18 boards against Trinity.
Currently, Frank leads the conference in rebounding, field goal percentage, and defensive rebounding.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Freshman guard Madilyne Borjon of Dallas produced a career-high 19 points in Friday's win for the Crusaders at Texas Lutheran University. The freshman guard shot 7-for-9 overall and 71.4 percent (5-7) from three-point territory. Junior forward Tori Carraway of Southwestern shot 80 percent from the floor and produced 17 points in 17 minutes against Colorado College. First-year guard Emily Daniel of Trinity came off the bench to average 14.0 points/game in 24.5 minutes/game to lead Trinity to a conference weekend split on the road against Centenary and Austin College. Junior guard Cami Davis of Texas Lutheran put up 33 points for the Bulldogs in this week's games, playing a total of 68 minutes. Freshman forward McKenzee Gertz of Colorado College poured in a game-high 24 points in Friday's 70-46 loss at Southwestern.
