FORREST MAROWITZ OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a senior goal keeper from Mercer Island, Wash., has been selected as the SCAC Men's Soccer Defensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Monday, October 15 through Sunday, October 21.
Marowitz stopped eight of nine shots on goal as
Colorado College regained second place in the SCAC with a tie
against No. 1 Trinity and a victory over then-second place
Southwestern.
In Friday’s 1-1 tie with Trinity, Marowitz
made six of his season-high seven saves in the second half and
overtime.
During Sunday’s 4-0 win against Southwestern,
Marowitz stopped the only shot he faced en route
to his fourth shutout of the season and the seventh of his
career.
Marowitz lowered his single-season best
goals-against average to 0.41 and improved his saves percentage to
.872.
