FORREST MAROWITZ OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a senior goal keeper from Mercer Island, Wash., has been selected as the SCAC Men's Soccer Defensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Monday, October 1 through Sunday, October 7.
Marowitz stopped all six shots he faced during
163 minutes in goal to lead Colorado College to victories over
Austin College and Centenary College.
In the 4-1 win against the Kangaroos on Friday,
Marowitz made three saves before giving way to
freshman Ian Horne with 16:33 remaining in the second half.
He stopped all three shots en route to his second shutout of the
season and the fifth of his career during Sunday’s 2-0
victory over Centenary.
Marowitz lowered his goals-against average to 0.52
and improved his saves percentage to .852.
