KANSAS CITY, Kan. – Trinity (Texas) University (15-2-1, 12-1) springs forward three spots to seventh in this week's National Soccer Coaches Association (NSCAA)/ Continental Tire Division III Top 25 rankings. Trinity escalates to the No. 14 position in the D3soccer.com Top 25 poll for week nine. The NSCAA West Region poll places Trinity at No. 1 and Southwestern (Texas) University (13-5-1, 11-1-1) at the No. 9 ranking.

Trinity recorded a pair of shutouts in conference play to extend the team's overall winning streak to 13 games. The Tigers have not lost since opening the season 2-2-1, and have recorded four consecutive shutouts – allowing just two goals overall – during the current streak.

Trinity will face off against Southwestern this weekend, which will be a rematch from earlier in the year. Southwestern defeated Trinity 1-0 in San Antonio, though the Tigers have not lost a game since then. The Trinity Tigers need a tie or a win to clinch the top seed at the SCAC Tournament, held in Georgetown, Texas, November 8-9.
