BRYANT OF SEWANEE: UNIVERSITY OF THE SOUTH, a
sophomore guard from Hendersonville, Tenn., has been named SCAC
Basketball Player-of-the-Week for games played Monday, January 2
through Sunday, January 8.
Bryant led the Tigers to a pair of strong wins
over Covenant (Ga.), 63-51, Wednesday, and Centre, 85-78, Saturday.
For the week, Bryant averaged 15.5 points per
game, 4.5 assists per game, 5.5 rebounds per game, 1.5 blocks and

Later in the week, against Centre, Bryant was again clutch for the Tigers. After scoring 17 points he had eight rebound and four assists. In addition to the impressive statistics, the sophomore guard made a number of key plays late in the game.
With Sewanee clinching to a five point lead Bryant came away with a key steal under a minute left, which gave the ball back to the Tigers. From there, Bryant added some a pair of free throws which sealed Sewanee's first win over Centre since December 2005.
