GREG ROSS OF CENTRE COLLEGE, a senior forward from Cincinnati, Ohio, has been named SCAC Basketball Player-of-the-Week for games played Monday, December 12 through Sunday, December 18.

Ross had two solid games as Centre swept the weekend home series vs. nationally-ranked Birmingham-Southern and Oglethorpe.

Ross could not be stopped against BSC, scoring 21 points and grabbing 14 rebounds. He shot 8 of 13 from the floor (61.5 percent) and added two assists against the #16 ranked Panthers as the Colonels won 72-65.

Ross continued his strong play against Oglethorpe, scoring 12 points and pulling down eight rebounds in the Colonels’ 65-55 win over the Stormy Petrels. He shot 4 of 10 from the floor and added an assist.

For the week, Ross averaged a double-double with 16.5 points per game and 11 rebounds per game. He also shot a sizzling 52.2 percent (12 of 23) from the floor.
