Kerrville, Texas
Being nestled in the hills of Texas Hill Country, Kerrville is best known for its beautiful parks that line the Guadalupe River - which runs directly through the city, its nearby youth summer camps, hunting ranches, and RV parks. It is also the home of Texas' Official State Arts & Crafts Fair, the Kerrville Folk Festival, as well as Mooney Aviation Company and James Avery Jewelry. The Museum of Western Art (founded 1983) features the work of living artists specializing in the themes of the American West.
Schreiner University Athletic & Events Center
Schreiner broke ground for the Athletic and Event Center in January 2014, and Huser Construction of Kerrville completed work in December of that same year. The center includes training facilities, locker rooms and meeting rooms. In addition to being home to the university’s NCAA Division III basketball and volleyball programs, it is also used for intramural athletics, and large campus events, such as graduation ceremonies. The facility enables Schreiner to host Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference championship tournaments in basketball and volleyball.
