ANNA WILGENBUSCH OF UNIVERSITY OF DALLAS, a sophomore from St. Paul, Minn., has been named the SCAC Women’s Runner of the Week for meets ran through Sunday, September 22nd.
Wilgenbusch won the Muthama-Rogers Invite 5K setting a new personal record of 17:53.4. Wilgenbusch claimed her second consecutive first place spot with the next fastest time being 19:39.6. Her latest personal-best time shattered the school record (18:44) that was held by a University of Dallas Hall of Famer.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior Jordan Juran of Trinity led the Tigers to a second-place finish at the Saints Invitational on Saturday morning. She finished the 6K race in fourth place individually with a time of 23:40.7. Freshman Emma Pertuit of Southwestern placed 31st out of 84 runners at the Saints Invitational with a time of 26:08 with an average pace of 7:00 minutes a mile.
