REBEKAH BOWDEN OF AUSTIN COLLEGE, a junior middle blocker from Flint, Texas, has been named SCAC Volleyball Offensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Monday, October 24th through Sunday, October 30th. 

Bowden was nearly flawless over the weekend, totaling 31 kills (3.1 kills/set) with a .500 hitting percentage, 1.2 blocks/set, and only 2 attacking errors in Austin's three matches against Belhaven, LeTourneau, and Millsaps.

Bowden recorded double digit kills in the matches against Belhaven and Millsaps, providing 17 and 10, respectively. 

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:

Senior setter Erika Edrington of Trinity University led the Tigers to a 3-1 record in the closing tournament of the regular season, earning All-Tournament honors in the process. Edrington piled up 156 assists (9.75 assists/set), 34 digs, and 4 blocks. Senior outside hitter Kristin Fording of Texas Lutheran University concluded her home volleyball career with 61 total kills and 63 digs in a 2-2 weekend at the TLU Invitational. Sophomore outside hitter Hailey Lawson of Centenary College had quite the week in helping Centenary finish with its most wins in five years. She led the team in all three matches in both kills and hitting percentage and added 5 aces, to lead the conference in aces per set (0.61). Senior setter Rebecca Watson of Colorado College helped CC finish its regular season with a 25-4 record with a 3-0 sweep of Johnson & Wales University. Watson led the team with 26 assists, while adding 3 kills, 3 digs, and 2 aces. Senior setter Nikki Welch of Southwestern University helped the Pirates to a 2-1 week, averaging over 11 assists/set this week with 123 total assists, and 3.73 digs/set.
