ERIKA EDRINGTON OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a junior setter from Houston, Texas, has been named SCAC Volleyball Offensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Tuesday, October 20th through Sunday, October 25th.

Edrington led Trinity to a 3-1 record at last weekend's SCAC Cross-Divisional, aiding the Tigers in clinching the fourth seed for the upcoming SCAC Tournament. Edrington and the Tigers defeated Centenary and Dallas 3-0, earned a key 3-2 win over Austin College, and suffered the only loss of the weekend against nationally-ranked Colorado College - the top seed at the tournament this season.

Edrington finished with three double-doubles over the weekend, averaging 10.20 assists/set and 2.87 digs/set for the Tigers. She had a weekend-high 47 assists to go with 12 digs in the win over Austin, as well as 42 assists and a tournament-best 13 digs in the loss to Colorado. Edrington's top performance came in the weekend finale against Dallas, though, as she led Trinity to a win that avenged a previous loss to the Crusaders.

Edrington finished with 35 assists and 11 digs, but her 11.67 assists/set and 3.67 digs/set for the match were her best of the weekend. She also tallied 11 kills and nine blocks over the weekend's action, hitting .400 (11-1-25). For the season, Edrington is averaging 9.87 assists/set and 3.23 digs/set. She leads the Tigers with 1,056 assists, and is third on the team with 346 total digs. 

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior right side hitter Courtney Birkett of Colorado College led the team with 77 assists to average 19.25 assists a match. Junior middle blocker Presleigh Watson of Austin College averaged 2.36 kills - including 2.44 in conference play - with a .297 hitting percentage. Junior outside hitter Kristin Fording of Texas Lutheran University averaged 4.0 kills per set and hit .208 for the weekend. Junior middle blocker Kirby Kincannon of Southwestern University posted an impressive .512 attack percentage over the weekend.
