KAITLYN FOSTER OF SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, a senior outside hitter from San Antonio, Texas, has been named SCAC Volleyball Offensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Tuesday, October 6th through Sunday, October 11th.

Foster led the Pirates to a 4-0 week as Southwestern dropped just one set. The outside hitter posted 62 kills and just three errors on 142 attempts for an astonishing .415 attack percentage.

Foster averaged 4.77 kills per set in 13 sets and 4.69 digs per set to send the week with a team high 61 digs. She also had two blocks, three assists and one ace. 

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior outside hitter Kristin Fording of Texas Lutheran University posted kill totals of 15, 14 and 19 as the Bulldogs went 2-1 at the SCAC Divisional Tournament. Junior outside hitter Mairin Guilfoyle of Dallas combined for 51 kills over the week. Junior outside hitter Abbe Holtze of Colorado College averaged a double-double over the weekend with 10.7 kills and 13.7 digs a match. Sophomore right side hitter Madeline McKay of Trinity University racked up 3.60 kills/set over the weekend, leading the Tigers with 36 total kills in the three matches. Junior middle blocker Presleigh Watson of Austin College averaged a team-best 2.2 kills with a .263 hitting percentage.
