ALY HAZELWOOD OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a senior middle blocker from Baytown, Texas has been named SCAC Volleyball Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Monday, September 14 through Sunday, September 20.

Hazelwood led the 14th-ranked Trinity volleyball team to a 4-0 record at the SCAC West-Central Tournament last weekend, putting her team into a tie for first place in the SCAC standings.
 
Hazelwood led the team in blocks and service aces over the weekend, and also posted an impressive .351 hitting percentage. She tallied 21 blocks in the four matches, averaging 1.62 blocks/set. She also recorded seven aces (0.54/set) for the tournament and finished with just five hitting errors in 57 attempts.  Hazelwood totaled 25 kills in 13 sets, averaging 1.92/set for the weekend.

Against No. 11 Colorado College, Hazelwood put forth her best performance of the weekend.  She finished with 10 kills and a .350 hitting percentage, and also recorded a season-high nine blocks.
