EMILY PERKINS OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a junior middle blocker from Plano, Texas has been named SCAC Volleyball Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Monday, August 31 through Sunday, September 6.

Perkins posted a .344 hitting percentage and averaged 3.44 kills per set, 2.69 digs and 0.81 blocks while leading the Tigers to a perfect 5-0 record during the opening week of the 2009 season.
 
Perkins was selected as the MVP of the 2009 Molten Volleyball Pikes Peak Challenge after leading Colorado College to the championship with a 4-0 record. She posted her first double-double of the season and 31st of her career with 17 kills and 14 digs in the four set victory over Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
