KATY GALLI OF
OGLETHORPE UNIVERSITY, a first-year from
Hackettstown, N.J., has been selected the SCAC Women's Track
Athlete-of-the-Week for meets conducted through Sunday, March
11.
Galli broke her own school record in the
100-meter hurdles by running a 15:92. at the Birmingham-Southern
Invitational over the weekend.
Galli also put in an impressive performance at the Millsaps Invitational March 3 where she won both the long jump and the triple jump before setting the school record in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 15.99, her third victory of the day.
Galli now holds four Oglethorpe women’s track records after having competed in just four meets in her brief career: the indoor triple jump, indoor 60 meter hurdles, outdoor 100 meter hurdles and a share of the 4x400 meter relay record.
