Danielle Wahl, Colorado College, Women's Swimming

DANIELLE WAHL OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a first-year swimmer from Colorado Springs, Colo., has been selected the SCAC Women's Swimmer-of-the-Week for all meets through Sunday, January 22.

Wahl impressed everyone in her first meet of the season breaking three varsity records and placing first in her individual events at the 14th annual Colorado Classic.

Wahl broke the varsity record in the 1,650 by over 20 sedonds with a time of 17:58.94 and her 1,000 split in that swim was fast enough to break the school record in the 1,000 as well (10:46.61).

Wahl also broke the school record in the 200 Fly by over four seconds with a time of 2:15.33. She also swam on three relay teams (two of which won with season-best times) which helped the team win the Colorado Classic over Division II Colorado Mesa University.

In the Colonel Classic Weber was a three-time winner posting two seasonal best times out of three events. She went 1:59.68 in the 200 Free and 18:03.54 in the mile which is ahead of where she was last year en route to making the national A cut.
