DANI LOEBLEIN OF SCHREINER UNIVERSITY, a senior midfielder from Houston, Texas, has been named the SCAC Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for games played through Sunday, September 15th. 

Loeblein led Schreiner to an outstanding 2-0-1 record last week, scoring all four of the Mountaineers goals including both game-winners. In the 2-1 win at Concordia (Tex.), Loeblein scored twice in the second half to lead the comeback, first tying the game in the 52nd minute and then lifting Schreiner to the win in the 89th with her second goal of the contest.  
 
The senior followed that performance up with her second-straight two goal effort, giving Schreiner a 2-0 lead over Mary Hardin-Baylor before the Mountaineers eventually won, 2-1. On the week, Loeblein finished with seven shots, six on goal and eight points off four goals. 

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior forward Kyra Montes of Centenary led the Ladies to a pair of wins last week over LeTourneau and Johnson & Wales. Montes scored in both contests, including the game-winner against LeTourneau, and added an assist for five total points. Montes has now scored in three consecutive games. Freshman Alyssa Mencacci of Dallas put away her first two collegiate goals last week and accounted for all the scoring as the Crusaders went 1-0-1, including its first win of the season against Austin College. Freshman midfielder Sydnee Hart of Johnson & Wales scored her first collegiate goal last Sunday in a 4-1 loss to Centenary. Freshman forward Alexis Guajardo of Southwestern scored twice, including the game-winner to help lead the Pirates to a 3-0 win over Texas Lutheran last Friday. Senior forward Katarina Maksimov of St. Thomas score the game-winning goal in the Celts, 2-0, win at Johnson & Wales.
