JORDAN LEEPER OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a junior defender from Austin, Texas has been selected the SCAC Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for matches played Monday, September 21st through Sunday, September 27th.
Leeper led the Tigers to a 3-0 week of action, highlighted by three shutout victories that included a pair of wins in SCAC play.
Leeper and the Tiger defense allowed a total of 10 shots in the three games, including one shot in each game over the conference weekend. She also picked up a goal and two assists in the win over Centenary on Friday night.
For the season, Leeper and the Trinity defense have recorded seven shutouts in nine games, including five consecutive clean sheets. Leeper is third on the team with nine total points, scoring three goals and three assists for the Tigers.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Freshman defender Lindsey Fritz of Schreiner helped lead the Mountaineers to a 2-0 conference week with solid defense and a goal against Centenary. Junior goalkeeper Erin Rose of Texas Lutheran played 85.11 minutes and picked up the win in the 2-0 shutout of the University of Dallas - the Bulldogs' only action of the weekend. Rose stopped four shots in the win.
