DEVAN OSEGUEDA
OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a junior goalkeeper from San
Diego, Calif., has been selected the SCAC Women's Soccer Defensive
Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Friday, September 9
through Sunday, September 15.
Osegueda led the Tigers to a pair of shutout
victories at home over the weekend, allowing just 11 total shots in
the two games.
Osegueda recorded three total saves in more than 150 minutes of play over the weekend, which included her first solo shutout of the season on Friday. Against UT-Dallas, she made two crucial saves to keep the visitors off the scoreboard. Her first came in a scoreless tie early in the game, and her second was a spectacular diving effort that kept the Tiger lead at 1-0.
