EMILY JORGENS
OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a first-year midfielder from
Austin, Texas, has been selected as the SCAC Women's Soccer
Offensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Monday,
September 5 through Sunday, September 12.
Jorgens led Trinity to four wins over the past week, and
the team averaged just under seven goals per game. Jorgens scored
four goals and contributed seven assists to lead the Tigers with 15
points in the four games. She scored the game-winning goals in both
wins over the weekend against UT-Dallas and UT-Tyler. On Tuesday,
Jorgens tied a school record with four assists in
the win over Schreiner.
For the season, Jorgens is second on the
team with 17 points, scoring five goals and seven assists in her
six games played. The game-winning goals she scored this week were
the first of her career.
