ABBY LOAR OF
TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a junior forward from Littleton
Colo., has been selected as the SCAC Women's Soccer Offensive
Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Monday, October 11
through Sunday, October 17.
Loar led the Tigers to two SCAC victories over the
weekend, defeating both Birmingham-Southern and
Millsaps.
Loar nearly had a “double” hat trick against
Millsaps on Friday, totaling two goals and three assists in
Trinity’s victory – including an assist on the eventual
game-winner. On Sunday, she assisted on the game-winning goal
once again, then scored the only goal of the second half to seal
Trinity’s 3-1 win over Birmingham-Southern.
For the season, Loar leads the Tigers in
both goals and assists, scoring 10 goals and nine assists in 13
games. Three of her goals have also been game-winners for the
Tigers.
