ASHLEY LOVELL OF BIRMINGHAM-SOUTHERN, a junior from Hoover, Ala., has been named SCAC Women's Golfer-of-the-Week for tournaments played through Tuesday, April 13.
Lovell finished in a tie for first place on the leader board with ASU's Aileen Meredith at the Hawk Invitational hosted by Huntingdon College. Lovell posted a 156 for the tournament however Meredith was named the tournament champion in a score-card tie-breaker. A Traditional single-hole playoff was not conducted to determine the winner.
Lovell and the BSC Panthers also took home the team title as well at the Hawk Invitational.The win marks the fourth tournament win of the 2009-10 season for the Panthers.
