MAGGIE PREWITT
OF CENTRE COLLEGE, junior guard
from Mt. Sterling, Ky., has been named SCAC Basketball
Player-of-the-Week for games played Monday, December 13 through
Sunday, December 19.
Prewitt averaged 23.0 points, 4.7 assists and 4.0
rebounds in helping Centre to three wins last week. In Centre's
83-74 win at Spalding, Prewitt scored a game-high
26 points with nine assists, four rebounds and two steals. The
Colonels then participated in the Transylvania Classic, where the
junior guard scored 27 points with five rebounds and two assists in
a 77-76 win over Baldwin Wallace, and added 16 points, three
rebounds and three assists in a 62-54 win over Muskingum.
In the three games, she combined to make 20 of her 35 shot
attempts (57.1%), including 8 of 16 (50.0%) from the three-point
line and 21 of 24 (87.5%) from the charity stripe. Through 10
games, Prewitt leads the team in scoring (17.6
ppg) and assists (3.6 apg).
