KAYLA REDDEN
OF AUSTIN COLLEGE, senior guard from Ector, Texas,
has been named SCAC Basketball Player-of-the-Week for games played
Monday, December 28 through Sunday, January 3.
Redden averaged 16.5 points and knocked down
9-of-16 (56.3%) threes as the 'Roos swept Trinity and Southwestern
over the weekend for the first time since joining the SCAC in 2006
to improve to 3-1 in conference play.
Redden shot an impressive 57.9% from the field
over the weekend and also added three assists, 1.5 steals and 2.5
rebounds per game as well.
On the season Redden is averaging 9.5 points, 4.3
rebounds and 2.3 assists to help the ‘Roos out to their best
start (8-3) since joining the SCAC.
