KELLY JURDEN OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a sophomore outfielder from Brenham, Texas, has been named the SCAC Softball Player of the Week for games played from Monday, February 25th through Sunday, March 3rd.
Jurden hit .583 over four games and posted an on-base percentage of .706. She reached base 12 times to help lead TLU to a 3-1-mark last weekend in the four-game series against Southwestern. Jurden was 3-for-4 with a run scored and three stolen bases in the series-opener. She was 4-for-4 with three runs scored and three stolen bases in the first game Saturday in Georgetown.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior outfielder Devon Potter of Trinity went 2-5 with a double and scored the Tigers’ only run of a road doubleheader against Concordia (TX) last week.
