SARA BOWEN OF
RHODES COLLEGE, a senior right-hander from
Nolensville, Tenn., has been selected the SCAC Softball
Pitcher-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, February 21
through Sunday, February 27.
Bowen was a perfect 2-0 on the week, with a save in 16
innings pitched allowing just three hits, one walk, zero runs while
striking out 30.
In the Lynx 7-0 win over #19 Transylvania,
Bowen allowed just one hit and no runs, racking of
15 strikeouts and walking one batter. On Sunday,
Bowen again tossed a one-hit shutout vs.
Huntingdon, striking out 12 and walking one. Bowen
also drove in both of the Lynx runs in the game. In the Lynx
4-2 win over #7 Washington University, Bowen
doubled in the 5th inning to drive in two runs and give the Lynx a
4-2 lead, then came on to pitch a scoreless 6th and 7th innings for
her first save of the season.
