SARA BOWEN OF RHODES COLLEGE, a junior right-hander from Nolensville, Tenn., has been selected the SCAC Softball Pitcher-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, March 8 through Sunday, March 14. It is the second consecutive week she has won Pitcher-of-the-Week honors.

Bowen went 2-0 on the week with a save, giving up just one hit and no runs while striking out 29 in 12 innings of work. She struck out the side in the top of the seventh to earn the save against MacMurray, and against Blackburn, she tossed her fifth career no-hitter, striking out 11 in the process. On Sunday against Finlandia, Bowen gave up her only hit of the week, and struck out 15 hitters in 6.0 innings of work.

For the season, Bowen is 5-2 with two saves and a 1.76 ERA, and has not allowed an earned run in her last 27.0 innings of work.
