AUSTIN BROWN OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a sophomore from Austin, Texas, has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week for meets run through Sunday, September 21st.
Brown led the Tiger men’s cross country team to a second-place finish among non-DI teams at the UTSA/Ricardo Romo Classic on Friday evening.
Brown finished 15th overall in the race, as well as 10th among non-DI runners. He was the second finisher for the Tigers on Friday, coming in at 16:48.1 in the 5K event. For the season, it marks the second time that Brown has finished in the top 15, despite racing against several non-Division I schools.
Brown has led Trinity to a first place and a second place finish to start the year.
