DAVID MOWLES OF AUSTIN COLLEGE, a freshman from Highland Village, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Men’s Swimmer of the Week for performances during the meets swam Monday, December 2nd to Sunday, December 8th.
Mowles led the 'Roos to a fourth place finish at the Hendrix Invitational on Saturday. Mowles placed second in the 200 fly recording a time of 1:57:08, setting a new program record. He also placed frouth in the 500 free with a time of 4:55:08 and placed sixth in the 100 fly, with a time of 53:67. Mowles helped the 'Roos to a frouth place finish in the 400 free.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Junior Beau Tipton of Trinity University swam at the U.S. Open this past weekend. Tipton competed in the 200 meter fly, finishing 34th out of 98 competitors with a personal best of 2:03.32.
