DENNY MASK OF
TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a sophomore defender from
Tulsa, Okla., has been selected as the SCAC Men's Soccer Defensive
Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Monday, September 27
through Sunday, October 3.
Mask led the Tiger defense that went 1-1 last week,
recording a shutout victory on Friday, but falling in a game
against top-ranked Christopher Newport Saturday.
Mask and the rest of the defense allowed just four shots
to Rowan in a 3-0 win on Friday, then against Division III’s
top-ranked team gave up a single score. Coming into the game,
CNU was averaging four goals/game.
Friday’s shutout was the third of the year for the
Tigers, who have given up just 11 goals in 10 games this
season.
