PATRICK CUNAGIN OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a junior defender from College Station, Texas, has been selected as the SCAC Men's Soccer Defensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Monday, September 14 through Sunday, September 20.

Cunagin led the Tiger defense to a pair of shutouts on the road last weekend, opening up SCAC play with wins over Austin College and Colorado College.

Cunagin and the defense held Austin College to just four shots in Friday’s 3-0 win over Austin College, then held Colorado College to just five shots on goal on Sunday.

Since his return from injury last season, Cunagin has led Trinity to four shutouts this year, compared to just six total shutouts all of the 2008 season.
