JACK McCORMICK OF COLORADO
COLLEGE, a freshman attackman from Hudson,
Ohio, has been selected the SCAC Men’s Lacrosse Offensive
Player-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, March 3rd through
Sunday, March 9th.
McCormick struck for a game-high four
goals to lead Colorado College to a 13-7 victory over Wentworth
Institute of Technology on Sunday afternoon at Washburn
Field.
With the game tied at
1-1, McCormick notched a
pair of markers in a span of 51 seconds to give the Tigers a 3-1
lead with eight minutes remaining in the first period. His goal
midway through the second period ignited a 4-0 run that gave the
Tigers a 10-2 lead 1:30 into the second half.
McCormick completed the first
multiple-goal game of his career with 8:40 remaining in the game.
He now ranks third on the team with six goals and fifth with seven
points.
