CHASE MURPHY OF COLORADO
COLLEGE, a sophomore goaltender from
Cohasset, Maine, has been selected the SCAC Men’s Lacrosse
Defensive Player-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, February
24th through Sunday, March 2nd.
Murphy posted a 1-1 record during
Colorado College’s two contests last week at the Patriot
Games in Dallas.
During Friday’s 16-4 SCAC victory
Southwestern, Murphy stopped
the only shot he faced while playing the first 30 minutes. It
marked the third time in less than two full seasons he did not
allow a goal in a game.
In Sunday’s 11-3 loss to No. 13 Roanoke, he made 15
saves on 26 shots. It marked the eighth time in his career that he
has made double-digit saves.
