ALEX HARTZELL OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY was named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Golfer of the Week for competitions played through Tuesday, October 6.

Hartzell earned the honor after helping the Tigers to a second place finish at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Invitational. The tournament featured 15 teams, including four teams nationally-ranked in either NCAA Division III or NJCAA Division I or II.

Hartzell started the 36-hole tournament with a 73 (+1) on the first day of competition. He added a 75 (+3) Tuesday to finish with a total mark of 148 (+4) for 12th place overall.

Hartzell and the Tigers will compete next at the Alamo City Classic on October 19-20.
