SCOTT PUGH OF OGLETHORPE UNIVERSITY, a senior from Harrisburg, Pa., has been named SCAC Men's Golfer-of-the-Week for tournaments played through Tuesday, March 30.
Pugh led the way for the Petrels at the Camp Lejeune Invitational played in Jacksonville, North Carolina on the Paradise Point Golf Course by firing rounds of 69-69-72 to post a 4-under total on the weekend and finish in a tie for 4th place individually.
Oglethorpe University men's golf team finished in third place behind Division III stalwarts Methodist and the Savannah College of Art and Design. The Monarchs posted a three-day total of 849 (7-under) to win "the swords" while Oglethorpe finished 19 strokes off the pace with a team total of 868 (12-over).
