Travion Kirkendoll, Centenary College, Player of the Week (Week Six)

TRAVION KIRKENDOLL OF CENTENARY COLLEGE, a senior guard from Campti, La., has been named the SCAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played through Sunday, December 31st.

Kirkendoll had a strong game to open SCAC action, pouring in 27 points on 10-of-16 shooting in the Gents' win over Austin College. He also grabbed nine rebounds and four steals in the contest, while dishing out three assists.

In the Gents' game against NCAA Division I University of Louisiana - Monroe, Kirkendoll recorded 13 points and five rebounds.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Freshman guard Michael Wambsganss of the University of Dallas shot 75 percent (18-24) from the field and 10-for-15 (66.7%) from behind the three-point arc in two non-conference games prior to the holiday break. Senior guard Keenan Gumbs of Schreiner University averaged 21.0 points last week, shooting 54.8% from the field, while grabbing 7.7 rebounds per game. Senior forward Ryan Ogden of Southwestern University posted a double-double with 22 points and 14 rebounds in the Pirates' only game last week. Junior guard Jackson Willoughby of Texas Lutheran University averaged 15.7 points and 6.0 rebounds in the Bulldogs' three games over the winter break. Junior forward Isaiah Specks of Trinity University started with 10 points and eight rebounds in a nine-point loss to Willamette, then finished with a season-best 19-point effort in a defeat at George Fox.
