JONATHAN BROWN OF SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, a junior forward from Houston, Texas, has been named SCAC Basketball Player-of-the-Week for games played Monday, December 14 through Sunday, December 20.

Brown guided the Pirates to a perfect 2-0 week at the Southwestern University/Trinity University Classic. He averaged 17 points per game while connecting on 14-of-19 shots (73.7 percent). Brown also chipped in by averaging four rebounds per game, 2.5 assists per game and two steals per game as the Pirates improved their record to 7-1 on the season.

Against Concordia (Texas) on Dec. 19, Brown scored 20 points on 9-of-9 shooting and grabbed four rebounds, dished out two assists and tallied one steal. He followed that up by scoring 17 points against Schreiner the following day on 5-of-10 shooting while totaling four rebounds, three steals and three assists.
