CLAY BRANDENBURG OF HENDRIX COLLEGE, a junior kicker from Coppell, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Football Special Teams Player of the Week for games played Saturday, September 27th. SCAC Football Release (Week 4)
Brandenburg was perfect in the Warriors' 47-28 win over Rhodes on Saturday going 2-for-2 on field goals with a long of 36 and finished 5-for-5 on extra points for a total of 11 points.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior kicker/punter Jesus Romero-Castillo of Lyon was 1-for-2 on field goals with a 33-yard field goal while going 5-of-5 on PATs. He also punted three times for 122 yards, averaging over 40 yards per punt and had eight kickoffs with a pair of touchbacks. Junior kicker/punter Vincent Herrera of Texas Lutheran punted five times for the Bulldogs for a total of 185 yards, averaging 37 yards per punt Saturday. He had a long of 54 yards and one touchback against ETBU.
