COLTEN SHEA OF
SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, a 5-10, 185-pound freshman
receiver from Georgetown, Texas, has been named the SCAC Football
Offensive Players-of-the-Week for games played Saturday, September
7.
Shea scored the first touchdown in 63 years
for first-year football program Southwestern. He scored on catches
of 68-yards and 40-yards and finished the night 9 catches for 258
yards and averaged 28.7 ypc (9 yards shy of SCAC record for
receiving yards).
He also had six returns for 109 yards finishing the night with 367 all-purpose yards, setting a single-game SCAC record for all-purpose yards. Shea broke a mark set by Walter Arrington of Birmingham-Southern who had 358 yards in 2009 against Millsaps.
