JOSH GILLIAM OF SCHREINER UNIVERSITY, a sophomore infielder from Spring Branch, Texas has been named the SCAC Baseball Offensive Player of the Week for games played through Sunday February 25th.
Gilliam had a strong week for the Mountaineers, leading the team to a 1-1 record against LeTourneau University.
Between the two games, Gilliam hit .714 and slugged 1.143. Of his five hits, three were doubles.
Gilliam also added one run and a pair of RBIs on the weekend.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore third baseman/pitcher Zachary Taylor of the University of Dallas logged a hit in his first 3 at bats and finished 3-4 in his lone appearance last weekend at Millsaps College. Sophomore designated hitter Tyler Cauley of Texas Lutheran University hit .364 with three RBI and three runs scored in the Bulldogs' three games against No. 16 University of Texas at Tyler.
