PAT HIRSCHBERG
OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a junior outfielder from
Parker, Colo., has been named the SCAC Offensive Baseball
Player-of-the-Week for games played Monday, March 4 through Sunday,
March 10.
Hirschberg continued his recent hot streak by
hitting a team-leading .588 over the last week, and pacing the
Tigers to a 3-2 record.
Hirschberg went 10-17 at the plate last week,
picking up five runs and seven RBI to lead the team in every
offensive category. He finished with four doubles, a triple, and a
home runs for 19 total bases and a slugging percentage of 1.118 for
the week.
Currently, Hirschberg is in the midst of an 11-game hitting streak, and he is hitting .575 (23-40) during that streak. He has six doubles, four triples, and six home runs during the streak, which began on February 23.
This week, Hirschberg had three hits in each of the first two games to lead the Tigers to victories. He was 3-3 with five RBI against Cardinal Stritch, lacking only a triple to hit for the cycle. The next game, he went 3-5 and needed just a home run to hit for the cycle again.
