SAM DAVIDSON
OF BIRMINGHAM-SOUTHERN COLLEGE,
a junior guard on the
women's basketball team who hails from Henderson,
Tenn., has been selected the SCAC Character & Community Female
Student-Athlete-of-the-Week for the week ending January 16,
2011.
Davidson has been involved in numerous activities
during her time on the Hilltop. She volunteers with the Humane
Society, Meals on Wheels, and Upward Basketball clinics, as well as
Vacation Bible School at her church.
Davidson helped out with Basketball Day at the
Exceptional Learning Center and is a tutor at Woodrow Wilson
Elementary School in Birmingham. She has also volunteered her
time for Halloween on the Hilltop, an event in which Birmingham
locals bring their children to campus for candy and games.
Davidson also helped make greeting cards for
senior citizens in a local nursing home and has been involved in a
mission trip to Montana.
