KELSEY DANIEL OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a junior middle blocker from Spring Branch, Texas, has been named SCAC Volleyball Defensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Monday, September 24 through Sunday, September 30.
Daniel continued her strong play last week, leading Trinity to home wins over Our Lady of the Lake, Texas Lutheran, and Schreiner.
Over the three victories, Daniel led the Tigers with 16 total blocks for an average of 1.33 blocks/set. She also recorded 12 digs and 18 kills over the week, posting a hitting percentage of .300 (18 kills, six errors, 30 attacks).
Daniel recorded seven blocks in the 3-2 win over OLLU on Wednesday, then had her best match of the week to open Thursday’s action against TLU. She finished with 10 kills, seven digs, and six blocks in the match, as well as a hitting percentage of .474 (10 kills, 1 error, 19 attacks) for the match.
