COLLEEN MARKEY OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a sophomore midfielder from Raleigh, North Carolina has been selected the SCAC Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for matches played Friday, September 18h through Sunday, September 20th.

Markey led the Tiger women's soccer team to a 3-0-0 overall record that included a pair of road wins last weekend, highlighted by a victory over top-ranked Lynchburg College - the defending NCAA D-III Champion.

Markey scored the game-winner against Lynchburg on Sunday afternoon, rattling the back of the net at the 55:00 mark of the game. Her score proved to be the only goal in a defensive battle between two of the nation's best.

Markey also picked up an assist on the second goal of Friday's 3-0 win over Dallas, putting the Tigers in position for the win. This week were the first points of the season for Markey, though she ranks third on the team with 14 total shots on the year.

Markey finished the 2014 season with seven goals and three assists, including two game-winning goals.
