STEPHANIE SEGOVIA OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a first-year forward from Buda, Texas has been selected as the SCAC Women's Soccer Co-Offensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Monday, October 10 through Sunday, October 16.
Segovia scored her third hat trick of the season to lead the Tigers past Southwestern University on Friday evening. Segovia scored once in the first half, then added two more goals in the second half to become the first Trinity player to score three hat tricks in one season. She also has scored hat tricks in consecutive games, also recording three goals against Millsaps last Sunday.
For the season, Segovia leads Trinity with 19 total goals and 42 points. Her 19 goals are tied for the third-most in school history for a single season. Only two players in Trinity history have scored 20 or more goals in one year.
