KIRBY PEDDICORD OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a first-year defender from Houston, Texas, has been named the SCAC Women's Soccer Defensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Monday, October 10 through Sunday, October 16.
Peddicord led Trinity to its 11th shutout of
the season on Friday night, earning a 7-0 win over Southwestern
University.
Peddicord and the Tiger defense yielded just three shots in the game, and only one of those was on target. Trinity was the only SCAC team that did not allow a goal last week.
For the season, Peddicord has led the defense
in allowing just four goals in 14 games, recording 11 shutouts, and
holding opponents to just 3.7 shots/game.
