BRYCE FRANK OF AUSTIN COLLEGE, a senior forward from Granbury, Texas, has been named the SCAC Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for games played from Monday, December 17 through Sunday, January 6.
Frank averaged 18.0 points, 8.4 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game leading the No. 25 Roos’ to a 4-1 mark over the holiday break. The league leader in scoring also recorded three double-double performances, bringing her total to nine on the season and shot 64.4 percent from the field.
Other Outstanding Performances:
Colorado College sophomore guard McKenzee Gertz averaged a double-double over the break with 12.8 points and 10.5 rebounds per game. Johnson & Wales freshman guard Katey Guzman led all scorers last week averaging 21.3 points per game , mounting a 30-point performance against Centenary and posting a double-double with 21 points and 11 rebounds against Austin College. Sophomore forward Bre Frierson led Centenary to a pair of conference wins, avergaging 14.7 points per game on 70.4 percent shooting. Trinity junior forward Abby Holland led the Tigers to a 5-1 record with 14.0 points and 6.3 rebounds per game. Freshman forward Morgan Rodriguez of Texas Lutheran averaged 10.0 points and 4.3 rebounds per game. Southwestern junior center Cecily Woolfolk secured 15 points and four rebounds in her only appearance last week.
