BRAYDEN PINCKARD OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a junior outfielder from Buda, Texas, has been named the SCAC Softball Offensive Player of the Week for games played through Sunday, April 16th.

Pinckard led TLU to a four-game road series sweep of Trinity by hitting .545 over four games, driving in four runs, stealing two bases and scoring four runs.

In the series, she posted an on-base percentage of .545 and a slugging percentage of .818. In the Saturday doubleheader sweep, Pinckard went 3-for-3 with two runs scored, two RBI and a double in the 9-1 run-rule victory. In the late game Saturday, she belted an RBI triple in the sixth to give TLU a 1-0 lead.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Freshman shortstop Ashley Mayorga of Austin College went 2-for-3 in each of the two games last week, batting .667 for the series with a .571 on base percentage and 1.000 slugging percentage. Mayorga had a triple, scored three times, and drove in four runs. Freshman catcher Ashley Albright of Centenary College hit .538 last week, scoring one run and driving in four RBI as the Ladies went 2-2. Sophomore catcher Stephanie Cervantes of the University of Dallas went 5-for-9 and posted a pair of walks in four games for the Crusaders last week. Her home run helped propel the Dallas offense forward to a season-high 11 runs in the third game of the series. Freshman outfielder Kaitlynn Copher of Southwestern University hit .692 as Southwestern went 4-0 against Schreiner to secure second place in the SCAC. She recorded nine hits in 13 at bats with five runs scored, one double and two RBIs.
