KELSIE MCEACHERN OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a junior first baseman from Atascocita, Texas, has been named the SCAC Softball Offensive Player of the Week for games played through Monday, March 13.

McEachern led TLU to a four-game SCAC sweep of Schreiner University on Sunday and Monday by hitting .667 with seven runs driven in and four runs scored. She doubled three times and finished with a slugging percentage of 1.333.

McEachern went 3-for-3 with a three-run home run, a single and a double and four RBI in TLU's 8-0 victory in the early game Monday.

The junior raised her season batting average 91 points over the four games.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior outfielder/shortstop Anna Dunn of Centenary had a hit in both games of a doubleheader split with Hendrix. In game two, she went 3-for-4 with a double and the first Centenary home run of the season, a two-run shot which proved to be the winning runs. Sophomore third baseman Melanie Savala of Dallas punched a three-run homer that broke a scoreless tie in the Crusaders' 3-0 series-opening win at Trinity. It was the only offense required for Dallas en route to its first shutout of the season. Junior outfielder Taylor Curtis of Southwestern went 7-for-14 (.500) with three doubles, a home run, two runs scored and five runs batted in as the Pirates swept a four-game set from Austin College. She had 13 total bases on the weekend to slug .929. Junior shortstop Rebecca Berreth of Trinity led the Tigers with a .357 batting average over the weekend, going 5-for-14 with two runs scored in a four-game series at home against the University of Dallas.
