Kaylee Atchley, Schreiner University, Offensive Player of the Week (Week 5)

KAYLEE ATCHLEY OF SCHREINER UNIVERSITY, a freshman infielder from Seguin, Texas, has been named the SCAC Softball Offensive Player of the Week for games played through Sunday, March 5th.

Atchley earned her second Player of the Week honor after helping lead the Mountaineers to a successful conference opening weekend, posting a 3-1 record.

Atchley hit .417 in the four games against Trinity University, tallying five hits, while scoring one run. She also drove in three runs and recorded three stolen bases for the week.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior outfielder Lizzie Moran of Centenary College had a hit in all three at bats with a run scored and a RBI in the Ladies' 5-3 win over SAGU Tuesday. Freshman outfielder Courtney Mica of Texas Lutheran University collected a pair of hits and stole a base in each game as the Bulldogs swept a doubleheader from Southwestern. Junior short stop Rebecca Berreth of Trinity University led the Tigers in a four-game series with Schreiner, hitting .400 while recording a pair of runs, three RBI and notching three doubles.
